Line-O-Prime Most White / Yellow

A high quality Thermoplastic Road Marking material conforming to MOST 803.4.2.2 – India & AASHTO M249. It consists of aggregates, pigment and extender bound together with a Hydrocarbon resin plasticized with mineral oil and made refractorised using 30 – 40% pre-mix glass beads complying with Class A requirement of BS 6088. ASPHALT LINEOLUX White & Yellow are easy to melt and apply on all asphalt and concrete surfaces using screed, extrusion and spray machines to form a highly durable marking with excellent adhesion, colour fastness, skid resistance and light reflectively.

It consists of light colored aggregates, pigment and extender bound together with a Thermoplastic Aliphatic Hydrocarbon resin plasticized with mineral oil and made refractorised using 30 – 40% pre-mix glass beads complying with Class A requirement of BS 6088

Shelf Life

12 months form the date of manufacture.

Test Certificate

Manufacturers test certificate shall be forwarded for compliance of the material to the specification required.

The Thermoplastic material shall be homogeneously composed of aggregates, pigment, resin and glass beads. The material shall be free form all skins, dirt and foreign objects and shall comply with requirements indicated in the fable below.

Binder

Shall compromise of plasticized synthetic hydrocarbon resin, plasticized natural resin or rosin.

Pigment

White pigment shall either consist of Titanium Di-oxide Type A ( Anatase ) or Type R ( Rutile ). Yellow pigment shall consist of Lead Chromate and shall not exceed 5% by mass of material.

Aggregates

Light colored silica sand, calcite, quartz or calcinated flint.

Reflectorization

Solid Glass Beads to be incorporated in the material prior to application to the road surface shall comply with Class A requirements of BS 6088. Solid Glass Beads for additional surface reflectorization shall comply with Class B - BS Drop On requirement of BS 6088.

Physical Properties of Making Material

Luminance

White: Daylinght luminance at 45 degrees - 65% min as per AASHTO M249.

Yellow: Daylight luminance at 45 degrees - 45% min as per AASHTO M249.

Drying Time

When: applied at a temperature specified by the manufacturer and to the required thickness, the moterial shall set to bear traffic is not more than 15 minutes.

Skid Resistance

Not less than 45 as per BS 6044.

CRACKING RESISTANCE AT L0W TEMPERATURE

The material shall show no cracks on application to concrete blocks.

Softening Point

102.5 ± 9.5° C as per ASTM D 36.

Flow Resistance

Not more than 25% as per AASHTO M 249.

Yellowness Index ( For white moterial )

Not more than 0.12 as per AASHTO M 249.
